Our Approach

Wilson Law offers its expertise navigating the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and business practices that pertain to unique, complex, and highly regulated industries, so as to be the firm of choice for clients who seek legal services that prioritize successfully  achieving business objectives.

John G. Wilson, Jr.

John became an expert in the complex and often misunderstood world of direct-to-consumer beverage alcohol law. As a co-founder of industry-leading service provider, Winestyr, he was the architect of the unique process by which that company facilitates direct-to-consumer sales by wineries.

In addition to his expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments, John also performed and/or oversaw all of Winestyr's legal work during his 15 years as its Chief Operating Officer. Viewing such legal efforts through the lens of an attorney and also an operator, John's experience gives him a unique perspective on how to help operators address legal concerns in ways that prioritize their business objectives.

John holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as a J.D./M.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 sons.  He has also served as President of the Board of Directors for a local youth hockey club as well as Loyola University Chicago's Council of Regents. Most evenings and weekends, he can be found at local ice rinks where he continues to coach youth hockey.
